“AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH
FOR DEVELOPMENT  (ARD)
IN EUROPE: TOWARDS A SHARED VISION”

More than 150 people, among them the most important stakeholders in the ARD sector from the different regions of the world, participated at the ERA-ARD International conference which took place in Brussels on the 28th and the 29th June 2007. Representatives from ARD networks, national and international research centres, producers and farmers organisations and agrobusiness debated during 2 days to define a shared vision of Agricultural Research for Development and more specifically on:

- ARD Challenges for Europe and its partners

- The possibles futures of ARD in Europe

- The needs and expectations of the Partner countries

- Toward a common vision

- How best to mobilise all European ARD forces

- The added value of improved cooperation and coordination
